A Prayer for Guidance

Psalm 5:1-3 says;
Give ear to my words, O Lord,
Consider my meditation.
Give heed to the voice of my cry,
My King and my God,
For to You I will pray.
 My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord;
In the morning I will direct it to You,
And I will look up.
There is such simple and beautiful instruction written here for us to follow if we will be wise;
First of all isnt it a comfort to know that the Lord does give ear to our feeble and often too shallow words? We are normally so full of ourselves but the Lord knows our true frame:)
If we would desire the Lord to consider our meditation and the voice of our cry then we must be spending time with him and putting 'voice' to our petitions unto Him.
And is it to our great King and God that we pray? It is so profitable to bring our burdens to Him. We often go to our neighbor or friend first and forget to bring ourselves before the Lord! This verse reminds us that unto Him will we go:)
Upon rising is such a good time to pray. It sets our minds strait before we get up and into the hallway... and into the many frays of the day! So let these verses remind us to focus on Him first thing and see if that doesnt help us to be focused on pleasing Him and having our hearts set on eternity.
May we remember to 'look up' throughout the day! With our hearts and minds on eternity and His eternal purposes for our lives. It is so easy to forget what those are in the midst of families, frays and frustrations. But He is our hope and ever present help in time of need~
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the

Please pray for our missionary friends....

Please pray for our friends who are missionaries...here is the letter we received~
Dear friends and family,

Our shipping container that we shipped before we left the United States in
January has still not arrived here.
I reviewing many websites, it appears that the ship that it carrying it, may
have been stuck at sea for over a month.
We are now starting to run into some serious complications because of this
delay.
I received an email today from our receiving agent that since it did not
arrive within 90 days from the time we arrived, it could no longer be
tax-exempt. We will have to travel to Dar and request an exemption. This
will add to our expenses, and we need prayer that the extension will be
given to us.
Also we have been told that if it does not arrive within 6 months from the
time that our permit was issued (December) it will not be exempt.
That time is coming up on us quickly also.

PLEASE join us in prayer and share this with others including your church,
as you feel impressed. We really need prayers to open the doors for this
container to arrive in port, for us to be granted all the exemptions,
extension, etc. Please pray that the ship that it is currently on will
arrive in port very soon, and that it will make its last ship journey
without any more interruptions. The trip that normally takes less than two
weeks from South Africa to Tanzania is now over a month long. There are
strange things going on, and we need God to intervene. As we pray God's can
work in our behalf. Please pray with us. THANK YOU!
Also please pray that nothing has been damaged, stolen or lost and that we
will not have any extra fees.

Blessings....

We had a great day today...we took a long drive and spent some 'green' to get some amazing compost and some organic veggies! A guilt free meal for dinner, I love it! And the mushrooms on this mushroom farm....incredible!!! Not to mention it was so nice meeting a sweet family!
There is just no way around it; eating well requires, time , money and energy. What a great thing to spend some of our sweat on though!!!...feeding our family well is so fulfilling!
First we fill them with Gods word for the health and life of their souls, then we fill their bodies with good things...organic veggies, grass fed meat, raw milk......This is certainly the day that the Lord has made , and I did rejoice and was glad in it! I hope you had a day like that as well!

Cheater snacks...

It has not been too hard of a task to change our diet. It started with me and now we find out that daddy needs to follow it as well. Because of his limited physical abilities due to his injury, he cannot exercise...takes bad for you pain meds and has gained weight....
So we all are on the path of better eating. We have been blessed to find a great source of dairy, organic veggies,...next; organic grass fed meat that doesn't cost an arm and a leg...only for the cow not for us anyways:)
Here are a couple of  snack ideas I developed for the littles but have incorporated for all of us when the 'need' arises.
First of all 'cinnamon toast'. Totally unhealthy right? Unless you eat it on whole wheat bread with xylitol and cinnamon. Then  you have crossed over into a healthy snack! By the way there is a link on my 'moms' page where my friend does an excellent job of explaining why white flour is so bad for you...yes I love it too....but alas it is on its way out the door!
Ive been experimenting with a good whole wheat recipe and I think we have it down...still looking for others to share their 100% whole wheat recipe with me though!
Snack number 2 ,that can also be used as a quick and easy lunch recipe...Top Ramen. Ok we buy the generic; but it is the same idea. Now I cannot vouch for the nutritional value of the noodles...we are doing the best we can by degrees right???......so when I make this, I first boil a grass fed beef bone in the water. For flavoring I add a bit of garlic salt but mainly Himalayan salt. Also, in place of the flavor packet, I add dried kale or spinach.
I was doing really well passing this off to the littles until I got over confident one day and put in quite a bit of the dried (organic) spinach. The 5 year old looked at it and said..."Oh, sigh, I KNOW this is spinach!" LOL. He ate it fine but I did feel a bit 'accused'. It is nice to be accused of doing good things for my babies:)

Please Pray....

I've thought of the idea of having a 'blog' for prayer requests...well for now I will just use the one we have going :)
  Have you ever checked out our (un) Civil War reenacting page? There is a young man on there who we would like you to be praying for;
Derek
He is being shipped over seas. Please pray for his safety, as well as for the safety of all those who are serving. Of course, and for his family who are not looking forward to this deployment.
Thank you.

Create in me a clean heart O God....

We just love the praise song; "Create in me a clean heart Oh God".
Perhaps you know it?
"Create in me a clean heart Oh God, and renew a right spirit within me...
Restore unto me the joy of my salvation and renew and right spirit within
me...."
Well, while at the doctors office today there was a young family with two little ones. One a baby and one a toddler. I couldn't help but grin and smile and be grateful that those young parents had these two little ones and that they were walking around and happy and ....alive.
I have to confess that even when the toddler was being 'naughty', I smiled just the same. Completely content that they were there. What I wouldn't give for some of our lost babies to be pitching a fit on the floor right now.
That reminded me of this verse. Create in me a clean heart oh God and renew a right spirit within me. Though it is wonderful those babies were there, it didn't have to be at the expense of them being trained I guess.
I was still thrilled they were there and I thoroughly enjoyed watching them.. I would still take any and all babies even if they were pitching a fit..but it got me to thinking about how we need to 'Think Rightly' as people. I don't need to think it is okay for toddlers to be naughty. I need to think rightly that children need to be brought up in the fear and admonition of the Lord. It isn't about our enjoyment..it is about the Lord fulfilling His eternal purposes in and through us and upon the earth. What does He want for our lives and for the lives of our children? Obedience, Faith, godliness. So, although in the desperation of our loss and flesh we would 'take what we could get', may we ultimately choose to accept what He gives. The Lord does all things well. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.

A Decent Meal!

Of course there is more than one reason why people don't eat better...much less organically!   Have you ever tried going to the grocery store and thinking..."ok only buy organic...only buy items in jars...only buy healthy..." I don't know about you, but we are~ not in a very big area , there are hardly such things!
In addition to availability is cost. If you can find it, get ready to dish out some 'green' to get it!
That is not all however, then there is preparation! After going through all of this, then you get the joy of trying to get your family to eat it:)
Take your average meal...Organic that is;. First after you drive 1 1/2 hours round trip to get the raw milk, bring it home and make it fit in the fridge...good luck. Then spend over 35 minutes taking all of the cream off of the top. Make that into butter. Keep some of the butter aside for ghee...make that. (Without burning it like I did today!) This is what you will fry the fish in, that your 15 year old daughter spent 4 hours trying to catch today. Also, you can fry the zucchini in it. This however is not organic because no organic was available so you peel it before slicing and frying.
Next if you have thought far enough ahead you have soaked your wheat grain that you freshly ground. Make this up, cheating with a few cups of white flour so it is edible though. Anyone have a good whole, whole wheat recipe??? Dont forget the local organic honey and fresh raw butter for the bread!
Now, you have been making the bean soup for 2 days. You began by soaking the beans and simmering grass fed , organic beef bones for an exceptionally healthy broth. (Thank you for those my dear Ann) Add beyond organic kale and spinach, throw in some (non) organic garlic, onion, tomato, and barley. Season with Himalayan salt of course. Top it off with forcing the chilren to drink either fresh buttermilk or kombucha or green tea with xylitol as the sweetener. Whew there you have it! The best I could do at my attempt for the one 'organic healthy meal' of the day.
And, the children ate it perfectly fine! Every bit of all of it was gone! Including the buttermilk! The kombucha on the other hand tends to be a problem. I think I need to take my friends advice and add fruit juice to it! Here is to healthier eating at least once a day! Bon Appetite!

Prayer Warriors....

praying hands on bible

Prayer warriors are friends of God. They bring before the Lord the needs of His precious people. I would love to start a 'prayer' blog. Everyone just add their prayer requests daily, then over a cup of coffee and a moment in the Word in the morning we could scroll thru the prayers and lift each other before the Lord...Sigh.

We dont need to know one another to pray do we? I surely dont and I know you dont either. So please pray for my friend Jill today, and for a precious little guy named Noah. I havent asked either of them if I can disclose prayer needs but the Lord knows.

How can I pray for you?
Every blessings, Dana

CAREFUL OF THIS 'SORT OF BOOK RECOMMENDATION!'

Ok so entirely inappropriate chapter at 69%. The book still has tremendous value. I personally skipped over it. So unnecessary. Anyways, do not let children read this chapter. There is plenty of other 'bits' of bologna but that part is offensive and would be terribly damaging to innocent consciences!
Interesting parts of the book. Baby products. Wow I had no idea they contained damaging chemicals!
Paint...ok we are all going to paint and I would hate to see the cost of 'organic' paint! Or paint without harmful chemicals. It does stand as a good reminded to ventilate thoroughly when you are painting. A lot of our friends have air purifiers and though expensive~they are a wonderful idea.
There is even a paint product that absorbs the dangerous chemicals in the air around it. Neat!
I like her suggestions about making your own herbal bath salts. Only problem, we have a 'jacuzzi' tub in our room and you are not supposed to put 'oil' products in the water...Hmmmm.
Her composting idea, as I mentioned before is a great idea. We decided to start on in a black garbage can on the deck, directly outside the kitchen door. Next to it is a bucked of dirt and a shovel so I can throw dirt over the contents whenever I add them. We had a little trouble with the horse dragging it down yesterday but...they are back in their front pen as the clover is grown up enough for a snack for them now.
Ive been researching online about how you can make your own soap, deodorant and lip balm. They even sell empty deodorant containers! Aluminum is a big problem and related to Alzheimer's, Lou Gehrig's and other serious malady's.
Another point of disagreement I would have with her is on the section of nutrition. She says that in order to have skin that is unaffected by dangerous UV rays to eat a 'low fat' diet. Well Im not sure which type of fats she is talking about. Im also currently reading 'How to Cure Tooth Decay'. One of the main things we are lacking in our diet is healthy fats....that will be the next book recommendation. Another book I dont 'entirely' agree with but has much much more good than not!
Currently on the 'juicing' chapter....hope to finish this 'sort of book recommendation' soon:)

Book Recommendation con't...

Ok so I'm still reading this book. I believe it is better to read it than not!
Finally someone else who knows the evils of fluoride and has it written down in a book! I knew it was toxic but she says that 'If a child eats a bottle of toothpaste it will die in 2-4 hours'!!!!!!!!! Mercy! Not a real good chance of that occurring anyhow as most littles say that toothpaste is too hot or spicy. Im sticking to the xylitol. I wonder if there is organic xylitol???
Good info on fertilizing your garden.
Another chapter for 'ladies' something I had never even thought about before! Related to Toxic Shock Syndrome!....which makes we wonder...what is in those diapers we put on our babies? Most of you are smart enough to use cloth.I have used them a lot but not exclusively. As well, I did it for the savings not for the potential toxic chemicals in them! Lord willing I will have a need to use diapers again one day and I cant see me using disposable on a regular basis!
She has good info on compost. Am I the only person who gardens and doesnt compost ? Ok so we are going to do it now that she shows how to do it in a manageable way.
There were some parts of the book I skipped over as they seemed irrelevant to us...cant recall what they are now.
As for organic chocolate...that was interesting~sounds pricey though!
Coffee: a gal told me that you buy organic decaffeinated coffee at walmart! I don't recommend unleaded coffee as it leads to headaches with us faithful coffee drinkers.
Its all about degrees...I believe I have a post named that on the moms page...It is better to drink less coffee than more, organic is better than non organic, decaf is better than than non decaf. However, it is best to drink no coffee at all! It is all by degrees and we do the best we can each day.
What other ideas do you have for healthier living?

Book Recommendation...sort of:)

"Live Organic 52 Brilliant Ideas" is available for free download on kindle today. I do not recommend the book in the ways that I agree with all of it. It is just a fairly good explanation of what I try to express to others about chemicals in the environment and in our food etc.
I disagree with her 'anti meat eating' philosophy in the beginning...I don't buy the 'cow emissions' bologna. The Lord made the environment and the animals and I don't think the acid in cows stomachs will be the undoing of our planet. I do agree with eating organic meat if we are able.
The reality is though, most of us do not have the money or access or know how to eat all organic. I am not saying we should all only 'go green'. I would just like us all to be aware of our environment and do the best we can.
The dangerous chemicals are all around us and I for one think that the Lord made our bodies very resilient!
As the book says; 'Doing something is better than doing nothing'. Especially in our environment, our bodies will notice and appreciate any efforts we make towards healthy living and eating.
For example, did you know that new carpeting is highly toxic? I wouldn't reject new carpeting if you left a few rolls at my house;(and I didn't, thank you Pelis family:) but it is a good idea to let is sit a few days~ preferably outside. But if you cant do that; at least keep windows open for as much time and as many days as possible after you lay it. The less chemicals you breathe in of it the better. So you see; there is always something you can do. And please don't let young babies crawl on new carpet!
The books talks about there being no source of clean organic water. Well, we have a 'well' and that is better than city water. So, I'm not going to spend the extra money on filtering it. We are doing the best we can. And, as for the 'spring' or mineral water she speaks of....these minerals deplete so quickly that I have difficulty believing that there are any minerals left in the toxic plastic bottles by the time we buy and consume them!
One part of the book I heartily agree with and have utilized for years is the use of baking soda and vinegar for cleaning. She gave me a good idea about adding lavender essential oil to my vinegar spray bottle though. I for years had been a strong advocate of 'Bleach' as I am a bit of a germ hater. Then there was that time that I nearly asphyxiated myself with it and my girls leaned it was toxic..I cant get them to use it. They are really the champions of getting that poison out of our home. I have yet to find anything that kills germs like bleach does though! Maybe someone who does essential oils for cleaning can tell me what they use as a strong germ killer?? ( ok I confess I hide a bottle of bleach spray under the kitchen counter!!! The girls shake their heads about it, and wont touch it for anything.)
Also, if you dont have a kindle you can download a free kindle app on your computer if you are intersted in this book. If you do read it, tell me what you think!
  Blessings!

A Funny...

The littles were watching a 'Veggie Tales Easter' dvd. At one point, Larry said; "But Bob, we dont have a youth group or a baptismal...we sprinkle!" My 10 year old who was standing near by reading a book, absently said "Oh, I didnt know Bob and Larry were Presbyterians"!

A Beautiful Happy Home!!!

The making of a beautiful and happy home!
(a grace gem for today)
(J.R. Miller)

A true home
is one of the most sacred of places. It is a sanctuary into which men flee from the world's perils and alarms. It is a resting-place to which, at close of day--the weary retire to gather new strength for the battle and toils of tomorrow. It is the place . . .
  where love learns its lessons,
where life is schooled into discipline and strength,
  where character is molded.

Few things we can do in this world are so well worth doing--as the making of a beautiful and happy home! He who does this--builds a sanctuary for God, and opens a fountain of blessing for men.

Far more than we know--do the strength and beauty of our lives, depend upon the home in which we dwell. He who goes forth in the morning from a happy, loving, prayerful home--into the world's strife, temptation, struggle, and duty--is strongly inspired for noble and victorious living.

The children who are brought up in a true home--go out trained and equipped for life's battles and tasks--carrying a secret of strength in their hearts, which will make them brave and loyal to God, and will keep them pure in the world's severest temptations! (JR Miller)

Oh my! Reading this makes we want to say 'Me Lord , me! Create one of those for me! May He give us the grace to make our homes beautiful and full of Grace! In our failure is where Grace abouds! That sweet wonderful amazing grace:) ~Dana

Cancer...

Amazing. Today I learned of three people who have cancer. What is going on? Well I am not one to claim to know much but I do know this...
First of all, the ground in which we grow our food is depleted...there are very few minerals in it. Vegetables and fruit are only going to have 'good stuff' in them if they are grown in good stuff.
Some dear friends of ours do 'beyond organic vegetable gardening'. They not only 'dont' use dangerous and cancer causing chemicals but they feed their soil with  minerals and nutrients.
So, we have our plants growing in soil that is void of any good thing and to add insult to injury; we add poison, chemicals and other dangerous ingredients to our plants. Hmm.
Then, as if this wasnt enough, we highly cook or process the food once it is out of the ground! This is all assuming that we are even eating fruit and vegetables in the first place! Did you know that there is no way to wash the pesticides off a strawberry? It is too porous. By the way, are you washing your food before you hand it to your little one? Scrubbing removes 80% of surface insecticides, soaking in a vinegar solution  for 3 minutes will remove virtually all of it from most vegetables and fruit.
Now let us talk about our meat. Sigh! Cattle, and hogs fed  growth hormones, antibiotics and given random vaccines...then when they get to the market they are pumped up with coloring and additives!
Chicken...ugg...commercial chicken, because of the way they raise the chickens~the meat is completely saturated with feces material. Ugg. And dont forget the antibiotics, hormones etc that they are given as well!
What about our grains? Even if we do 'bake our own bread'. First the bible says 'Give us this day our daily bread'. When we make bread daily we do not have the problem of rancid wheat. So, most of us normally eat rancid grain. This is also grain that has been grown in poor soil with insecticides and pesticides unless it is organic.
And last but not least. Water. If you live in the city and have fluoridated water... did you know that fluoride was first invented and used as a rat poison? It may kill some bacteria on your teeth yes but it is hardly worth the side effects of consuming a poison. NOTE: see on the label. Do not swallow. They don't say why but they are correct. I think that a poison that should not be swallowed should not be put into my childs mouth! Well then you have organic or fluoride free toothpaste...great. But, it has glycerin in it.The glycerin coats your teeth so your teeth cannot breath or remineralize. So tooth powder is best. It tastes horrible however, so I brush my littles teeth with Xylitol.
So all of this to say, is it any wonder that we are inundated by cancer everywhere we look? I have good news tho!
We stayed with a sweet family for Resurrection weekend..as I mentioned they do beyond organic gardening. 'He' was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and had a tumor removed. Instead of choosing the deadly path of chemo and radiation he decided to 'juice' his way to health. With organic fruit/vegetables. Success story; that was ten years ago. Now he works and lives to grow good food for others of the family of faith. In all of our state I don't know of anyone else that has the quality of vegetables that he does! What a blessing!
So, eat as well as you can, wash what you eat, cut down or out sugar (use xylitol or stevia instead), filter your water, take quality supplements, and whenever you can; eat farm fresh eggs, raw milk and organic grass fed meat. May the Lord preserve us in this perverse generation of processed lifeless food!

Send an e card to this little boy

Ok I have better information now! Here is how you send this little guy a card. His parents are hoping he gets 300 of them and they read and show each one to him;
first go to this link
http://childrenshospital.vanderbilt.org/

Then this is his name and room number for you to type in.

Patrick Froehling room 5424
It is that easy and he will be blessed!
Everyone in our family is sending him one! That is 10!
Thanks for bringing joy to a little one.
Blessings, Dana

Please pray....

We were just made aware of this story today, in case you would like to send an ecard to this young boy...he was recently diagnosed with brain cancer.

If you would like to send an e card the link is

http://childrenshospital.vanderbilt.org/  ( I just made the correction of http it was not www, thanks!)

we are trying to send him over 300 e card this time, his parents read them all to him and show him the pictures. He is so sweet and they are just so amazing, they too also homeschool their other children...
if you could pass the link on that would be wonderful, and pray for a 100% miracle for this little man.

Thank you again,
Lori (from THC) Thank you Lori for making us aware of this situation so we can pray, blessings, Dana

Im really not in the mood....

I should really change our 'intro' to say the number of children is 15, as we lost another one just recently. Frankly I am not in the mood.
Not that I don't trust the Lord and His Sovereignty in all things...part of it is, my lack of appreciation for others views on it. I recall when I had my first miscarriage and a friend(?) said that I was cursed. Boy, that didn't build me up much:)
Then when I think of the loss that some friends, bloggers and my son has experienced in the last year I feel ashamed to even think twice about my loss.
Strange thing, these emotions. They are never consistent , reasonable or the same. I am so thankful for the example of our Lord and His unchanging Word and ways. We are so blessed to have the perfect teacher to pattern our lives after:) May we take opportunity to do so today~

Easter by JR Miller

Easter comes in the calendar only once in a year—but for the Christian, every day is an Easter. Each morning we should rise to newness of life. In midwinter we do not need to wait for the coming of springtime, to get the lessons of Eastertide. Christ arose once for all and the glory of his victory shines everywhere, and the power of his resurrection is felt wherever he is known and loved and followed.
Easter ought to leave in every Christian heart—new inspirations, a new uplift, new revealing of hope. It ought to be easier for us to live nobly and victoriously after we have enjoyed another Easter with its great lessons. A wave of comfort should roll over the world, as the day bears everywhere its news of resurrection. Death has been conquered. A grave is no longer a hopelessly sealed prison—its doors have been broken. This is the message which Easter carries to every home of sorrow, to every lonely, bereft heart.
But that is not the whole meaning of the Easter lesson. Perhaps we narrow it too much. We keep its comfort for the days when death is in our home, when we are standing beside the graves of our loved ones. Blessed is its message then! It tells us that what to our blinded eyes seems death—is life; and that the grave is but a little chamber of peace where our dear godly one shall sleep until the morning....
We pray that you all enjoyed a sweet Resurrection Sunday with family and friends. May those who are dear to us, who have suffered such loss this year, be reminded of the life and hope we have in Jesus. Those who have gone before await us in glory.

A Grace Gem

We receive these Grace Gems in our inbox daily. I would encourage you to sign up for them.
Robert Murray McCheyne quotes:

1. For every look at self--take ten looks at Christ!

2. The greatest need of my people--is my personal holiness. Take heed to yourself. Your own soul is your first and greatest care. Keep up close communion with God. Study likeness to Him in all things.

3. Unfathomable oceans of grace are in Christ for you. Dive and dive again--you will never come to the bottom of these depths!

4. Get your texts from God--your thoughts, your words, from God. In great measure, according to the purity and perfections of the instrument, will be success. It is not great talents God blesses--so much as great likeness to Jesus. A holy minister is a powerful weapon in the hand of God.

5. A man is what he is on his knees before God--and nothing more.

6. Live near to God--and all things will appear little to you in comparison with eternal realities.

7. Lord make me as holy as a pardoned sinner can be!

                                                                        Amen!

Adrenal Recover Journey

I purpose to share my journey of 'recovery', and share what I am learning with others. I have been so blessed by my dear friends sharing what they have learned with me, about adrenal dysfunction, that I can do no less than share as well.
First of all, if you are like me, repetition is a good thing:) A bit of a definition; Adrenal fatigue is a pre runner to Adrenal exhaustion. It is a result of the adrenals being over taxed~by injury , distress, chronic infection etc..Adrenals being over taxed simply means that they have put out an over abundance of 'cortisol' for an extended amount of time and they are tired now. Cortisol is very important in that it dictates to your ovaries (for one) how much progesterone to produce. When the adrenals are not functioning at full capacity as they should, they fail to tell the ovaries to produce progesterone, thus estrogen is the dominant hormone running through your body. This is called the condition of 'Estrogen Dominance'. Estrogen dominance is the cause of cysts, endometriosis, ovarian cancers etc....
  I believe the Lord has created our bodies to be extremely resilient. So why is 'Estrogen Dominance' so prevalent? Here is a brief explanation;
Many of the chemicals and pesticides in our environment , mimic the hormone Estrogen in our bodies. We are completely surrounded by all of these invaders. So though our bodies were created to withstand a normal amount of 'stress', 'trauma' etc...it was not designed to be constantly bombarded in every direction by circumstances which create this imbalance in our bodies.
Dr. Mercola put out an interesting and very informative newsletter yesterday that names some of the additives we use in everyday items that mimic Estrogen in our bodies. Here is the article
http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2012/04/02/toxic-parabens-on-breast-cancer-patients.aspx?e_cid=20120402_DNL_art_1.
Another interesting fact that I would share with you...in hopes that you can help yourself to lower your Estrogen levels is this; Women who intake 500m of coffee daily have a 70% increased level of Estrogen than women who intake 150m! Wow. Thus falls one of my morning joys!
It seems that this entire recovery program is all about...doing what I don't want and not doing what I do want. For example, I want several cups of coffee in the morning..nope! I don't care to eat breakfast...I am eating it anyways! I take multiple supplements and vitamins throughout the day...for the first time in my life!...I eat 2 bowl of fresh vegetables and at least a cup of nuts daily in addition to my regular meals! Ive never eaten so much in my life! As well, though my figure is becoming a bit 'filled out'...I can in no way limit what I am doing...everything I do and don't intake right now is deliberate and has a purpose!
So, even in our trials we see that the Lord is able to work according to His good pleasure in our lives. It is always a blessed discipline to deny the flesh and grow in maturity so that we can do unpleasant things because it is right....So through all of this; Blessed be the Name of the Lord for loving me enough to train me up! Never too old to learn right?

Sunday Afternoon Entertainment....

Ok, so the Patriarch is gone; the mice will play while the cat is away right?? Does it count that we are going to listen to Voddie Bauchum later?
Being a lazy Sunday afternoon, since our garden work is done for the morning we are perusing Pinterest and making egg rolls. (disclaimer: I do not recommend children perusing Pinterest ...there are usually at least one or two inappropriate pictures and many inappropriate comments)We ran across some really funny quotes in reference to cell phones and texting that my daughters say 'characterize mom'. So we will add in a few of our own humor stories and see if you can glean a laugh from it...Happy Lord's Day!

When I noticed that my teen was texting in the middle of the day, I was immediately concerned and rebuked her saying "We do not randomly text throughout the day, there are far more profitable things we should be doing during the day". My daughter looked back very seriously and said "Yes mom....Ill tell grandma that I cant talk to her right now"....

You know there is a problem when the kids text 'grandma' and she responds back with "Wassup?"

Son-"Mom, where are you?"

Mom-"I Just left Walmart honey. What do you need?"

Son-"I went to Walmart with you."

Mom- "What does IDK, ILY, and TTYL mean?"

Son- "I dont know, I love you, talk to you later."

Mom- "ok, I'll ask your sister."
