Lamplighter Guild!!!
Dear Friends,
I am writing to tell you about a life-changing opportunity.
This summer, from July 15th-20th, Lamplighter Ministries plans to host its second Lamplighter Guild for Creative Disciplines, a catalyst for collaboration, innovation, and compelling instruction between master teachers and apprentices. Students will choose to study either Dramatic or Visual Arts during this time, and each student will be challenged to cultivate a high level of excellence in order to uniquely reflect the image of God in his work and life. This event will be hosted at the world-renowned Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz, NY.
Dramatic Arts students will learn scriptwriting, sound design, music composition, directing, producing, and voice and stage acting from the creative minds and talents behind acclaimed television and radio productions such as Downton Abbey, Adventures in Odyssey, Chronicles of Narnia, Les Miserables, and Left Behind.
Visual Arts students will interact with Mohonk’s spectacular mountaintop in an unforgettable week of visual exploration and creative expression through plein air oil painting.
To learn more, visit www.lamplighterguild.com. Or, consider viewing a short video overview of the event here; http://www.lamplighterguild.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=98:guild-promo-video1&Itemid=212
Don’t miss out on this experience of a lifetime! Registration is due by June 15th, and scholarships are available! If you have any questions about the Lamplighter Guild, please email us at mail@lamplighterguild.com.
Thank you!

LAMPLIGHTER
A letter from another Lamplighter "guilder"! Thank you Ezra!
Dear friends and family,
This past summer, Beecher and I had the privilege to attend the first Lamplighter guild for Creative Disciplines at MohonkMountain House in New York. The Guild is sponsored by Lamplighter Publishing, a company dedicated to furthering the Lord's work through the re-publishing of early literature. Their mission is to grow the Kingdom by building character, one story at a time. At the guild, we were inspired to do everything for God's glory. We were taught and mentored by masters in voice acting, sound design, and script writing. Being in the beauty of God's creation at Mohonk Mountain drew us closer to our creator and we were in awe of his glorious work. Every day brought new insights and new relationships that will never be forgotten.
So...all that to say that Beecher and I have an opportunity to attend the Lamplighter Guild again next year. Registration is due in January and we are hoping, of course, to go again. Lamplighter has offered an affiliate program which is an opportunity to defray the cost of the guild. Lamplighter will apply 30% of the retail to our registration costs. In this way, we can raise money for tuition. Christmas is right around the corner, and we wanted to remind you of Lamplighter. If you want great gifts like books or beautiful radio dramas, check out www.lamplighterpublishing.com. We love their stories and really love their radio dramas. Liza listens to the audio drama, The Basket of Flowers, literally over and over and Asa's favorite is Charlie's Choice. Mom reads the timeless classics to all of us. If you are in need of gifts that have meaning and want to order, please consider adding our guild number on your order form or mentioning it during your phone order. Our affiliate number is GUILD29. We are excited about Lamplighter. The books and audios have been a great part of our growing up and we look forward to your enjoying them, too. Feel free to call us if you would like recommendations.
Thanks so much!
Blessings!

Lamplighter Publishing Cont....
A voice from 'within'! Thank you Beecher Proch!
Dear Adams family,
Dear Adams family,
As you know, this Fall, I have been blessed to have the opportunity to intern with Lamplighter Publishing, specifically in the Lamplighter Guild development division. Lamplighter Publishing's mission is “to make ready a people prepared for the Lord, by building Christ-like character one story at a time.” Lamplighter does this by re-publishing 17th, 18th, and 19th century literature that is unlike anything you will find anywhere. They are then taking these great stories, and adapting them into high quality Radio Dramas that influence everyone who hears. In two years, Lamplighter Theater has spread to over 1,000 radio stations in 20 countries, and people all over the world are requesting that the dramas be broadcast in their countries.
This past July, the first ever Lamplighter Guild was held in New York at the beautiful and breathtaking Mohonk Mountain House. Offering two tracks (a dramatic arts track and a visual arts track), the Guild was an experience like no other. From stunning views of the Catskill mountains, exquisite food created by master chefs, devotions in the morning with Mark Hamby (Lamplighter founder and president), to dramatic arts classes with the creative minds behind Focus on the Family Radio Theater, Les Miserable, Left Behind, and The Chronicles of Narnia. The Guild inspired me (as it did many of the other students) to pursue a level of excellence in whatever I do. I was drawn closer to the Savior each morning as our small groups studied his word in the serene and peaceful atmosphere of Mohonk, and through the instructors, each of whom was dedicated to imparting truth to the next generation of culture changers. I would encourage anyone who is interested in learning more about the Lamplighter Guild to visitwww.lamplighterguild.com or email me at beecher@lamplighter.net if you would like to talk more about the Guild and there are so many unique opportunities for those interested; Donor needs to sustain Lamplighter Theater and help us change the world, internship opportunities, and apprenticeships with the master teachers who taught at the Guild.
Thank you so much for reading this and hope to hear from you!

Lamplighter Publishing
I CANNOT believe I do not have a link off to the side for Lamplighter Publishing. I'm sure it was there at some point and inadvertently erased!
"Lamplighter books". Wow. I have heard young people together and one ask "do you read lamplighter books?" It is understood among many what excellent books these are. They are described on their site as "Rare, dramatic books that reflect the character of God'. I would describe them as 'Rare, Christian books of a bygone era'.
They are completely important to us as tools in homeschooling/homediscipling! We have almost every one of these books and we are by 'no means' of 'great means'. It has always been a priority though, for us to provide good and godly writing material for our children. It doesn't have to lack adventure or be boring to be good either!
As well, for us homeschoolers, on the Lamplighter website, there are 'Character Comprehension Quizzes' made for many of the books! They are available under the publishing section of the site and they are available for free to download.
Check out their site and see what you think! http://www.lamplighterpublishing.com/
