While many portray this time of celebrating in our salvation, with depictions of Christ on the cross, it would behoove us to remember: Christ is Risen! He is Risen indeed!!!
As a reminder to you, He is not here! He is Risen! I often think that folks like to think of Christ as , in a manger or still on a cross. Both of those places seem to bind Him as powerless. But He is neither of those places!
He is at the Right hand of the Father and ever lives to make intercession for us. He is Mighty, powerful, fully alive and holds our very lives in His able hands.
He is neither a babe to be cooed over, nor slain ,to be mourned over. Though we can enter into His presence boldly , He is worthy to be praised and wisely to be feared.
Enjoy you're weekend of loving and adoring our risen Saviour, and all of His blessings and benefits to us ward, who are so undeserving.

Health-A multi faceted approach
First of all I hope we realize that our , physical constitution, strengths and weaknesses are affected by the very health of our parents at our conception.
That being said, I also believe that with 4 key" ingredients ", we can improve even those things.
The 4 key ingredients to good health, in my opinion are thus;
Healthy Living, Proper Nutrition, High Quality Supplements and Natural Healing/ Medicine.
Lets discuss number one. Healthy Living.
What do I mean when I say Healthy Living? Taking into consideration, that will mean something different to everyone, I can only share what it means to us.
1. Proper amount of sleep
2. Not over or under, exercising. Get off the couch yet don't kill you're self with Insanity exercise videos. I realize both extremes are popular but both are potentially unhealthy. They have discovered that most over exercisers are very unhealthy because they fail to replenish their bodies with lost nutrients. Nor do they support their amount of exercise with proper nutrition. As for the couch potatoes , Drs say that a person should move their body every hour except while sleeping.
3. Moderation in all things! Eating, drinking, working, stressing. Stress is a part of life but too much must actively be avoided.
4. The Bible says that man cannot live on bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Perhaps this should've been #1. This verse tells me that as a believer, I need the Word as much as food. Think about the implications of that. Real life is not possible outside of Christ- not real life, in the form that the Lord desires for us to have it.
Next, Proper Nutrition.
First of all, we all must be grateful for what we have. Secondly , we are only expected to do the best we can with what the Lord gives us. That being said; there is such a thing as proper nutrition.
1. Non GMO foods are imperative if you would have a healthy body
2. Organic is the safest food to eat. What I mean by organic is , no chemicals and grown by a local farmer. If you don't have one, then organic from a store is the next best choice. If organic is honestly not possible, then it is better to eat healthy whole foods rather than junk food. Remember we do the best we can. Keep in mind though that it is a fallacy that eating, natural and organic is more expensive. On FB recently someone posted that a kit kat bar costs $9.54 a pound! At most an organic veggie would be $4 a pound!! As well beans and brown rice are excellent 'cheap foods'.
3. Then how do we consume our non GMO, organic food? Raw, lightly steamed...or just eat them at all! We fry some veggies at a moderate temp in coconut oil.
4.Consume 12 cups of liquid a day. Sorry this does not include, coffee soda or alcohol. As well at least half of this should be water. As a side note, an occasional bit of lemon in water is very healthy and helps to balance your body's ph. Acid body bad, Alkaline body good:)
5. Moderation in eating meals. Not too much and not too little or skipping meals. (unless deliberately fasting) Dr. Lindsey Duncan says that in his 40,000 clinical hours and 29 years of natural medicine that there was one thing which every pancreatic and colon cancer patient had in common; eating past 9pm...Is 9 a magic number? No. It is the idea of eating late in the evening or right before slumber.
High Quality Supplements.
I cannot stress this one enough.
1. As of a govt doc (which if you need the number let me know and Ill look it up again) 1936, the Feds declared that our soil in the US was far too depleted to grow food that contained all of the proper nutrition to grow healthy plants...what does that mean? Well think about it...poor soil, grows a weak plant. Weak plants lead to diseased adults. Not to mention, the poor nutrition contained in the plants is then doused with poisons before it reaches our kitchen and then we cook the life out of it before consuming it.
2. Supplements are necessary in this day and age in order for our bodies to have all the minerals , vitamins and nutrients it needs to heal our bodies and keep them healthy. So what kind of quality supplements am I talking about? Non gmo, organic, wildcrafted , without unpronounceable ingredients and in a liquid form. If you take a liquid supplement it takes only 9 minutes for it to reach the cellular level. If you're taking a hard vitamin....you essentially get nothing out of it. Google how many times persons taking hard vitamins end up having an xray for something and several undigested hard vitamins are found throughout their intestinal tract.
3. The supplements, assuming they are non gmo and organic must be harvested, shipped and produced in a proper manner in order for you to get the most benefit. All of that considered, we will only use Genesis Pure products in our family.
4. Supplements should never take the place of good nutrition, but they are necessary in maintaining it
Natural Healing and Natural Medicine.
Let me begin by saying that I am forever grateful for Western medicine. There are many a soul, friend, family member and acquaintance that would not be here were it not for modern medicine and science. It is imperative to have access to modern medicine in the case of trauma. In the case of emergency, in the case of necessary surgery, restorative disfigurement,in some cases sustaining life period!..but not in the case of every day sickness and not in the case of most diseases/disorders. What do I mean?
We do not have heartburn because of our lack of antacid. We do not have diabetes because of our lack of insulin. Most heart disease is brought on by lack of nutrition and proper living, not because of a lack of stints in our arteries.
So whereas Western Medicine has a role, it is far over used. There is a natural protocol for nearly every ailment. First of all, eat well and take an awesome supplement and multivitamin so your body has what it needs.
SUPPLEMENTS AND VITAMINS DO NOT HEAL US. GOD DESIGNED OUR BODIES TO HEAL THEMSELVES. SUPPLEMENTS, NUTRITION AND VITAMINS GIVE OUR BODIES THE TOOLS AND BUILDING BLOCKS IT NEEDS TO DO THE JOB OF HEALING ITSELF.
1. Use herbs for illness
2. Utilize the use of Essential Oils for healing
3.Take the extra effort and time to do 'things' to help situations. For example, got a fever? Cool down with herbs and a luke warm bath before reaching for that fever reducer.
The list of things you can do to help yourself instead of running to the Dr, or reaching for that 'drug' are endless. A little research will go a long way.
Again I can give you some of my experiences. We have 11 children, and only one has been taken to the Dr for an earache in all of these years. Why? Garlic oil! Cant afford it? Make it!
Pre diabetes in our family was treated with cinnamon bark oil.
Insomnia is helped with lavender oil.
Hives can be treated with it as well.
Chamomile tea insures an early bedtime.....on and on and on. Think of the creative things you can do to save your liver and your body from the damage that results from use and over use of chemical medications. Remember; MEDICINE DOESN'T HEAL YOU. GOD DESIGNED OUR BODIES TO HEAL THEMSELVES. SUPPLEMENTS, NUTRITION AND VITAMINS GIVE OUR BODIES THE TOOLS AND BUILDING BLOCKS IT NEEDS TO DO THE JOB OF HEALING ITSELF.
So I encourage you to take on the challenge of using these 4 ingredients to add to the health and wellness of yourself and your family.
What a blessing to be Fearfully and Wonderfully Made!

Peas Please!
Ok so were some of the rare persons who starts peas in pots. It's so wonderful to put them in the ground a few inches tall tho!
Well I was a bit behind the curve and my daughters peas began to GROW!! So I actually had to transplant them into bigger pots! Never done that before! Normally they would be outside by now but were having unusual snow storms and excessively cold weather. Some areas have 8 inches of snow!!
So these cold hardy peas will go out into the green house (as soon as they recover from the transplant) until these storms pass.
I was noticing as I was dealing with these young plants today: that they are much like small ( albeit) unruly children. Always requiring training and constant management to keep them from where they should not be! So they will have to be kept a fair distance apart before they are put out to pasture!!!! Otherwise it will be an impossible feat to plant them out if they're all intertwined together!
So what are you growing so far???

One of those days?
Love this cup that my daughter got me from London. It was my creed to live by for years! Me and coffee are synonymous. Actually, if there was a cute 'coffe quote' on FB, I would be sure to be tagged in it by one friend or another! Sometimes even more than once!
I know coffee isn't great for you. I think...need I say it....it appears to be a bit addictive! So over the years Ive tried to cut back....result; 16 hour headache EVERY time.
THANKFULLY I have found two products that are safe, non addictive and healthy! Yes healthy! It is better to drink it than to not!
One is Pure Cafe by Genesis Pure. It is an instant coffee type drink. Sweet tasting and healthy. We call it 'chick coffee'. The other product is Energy by Genesis Pure. It will literally give you 4-5 hours of energy with out the jitters or let down. Ive given samples of this product to friends and they walk around saying "I don't have anymore energy than usual"....and inevitably, they call me at 11pm at night saying they cannot fall asleep! It happens! Don't drink past 4:00!!!
So although I do indulge in a 'real' cup of coffee most mornings...well half a cup. I rather do the Pure Cafe and energy. So we will have to change that cup to ;
KEEP CALM AND DRINK PURE CAFE!!!!

Spelt Crackers
Super duper easy recipe! A mix of several from online. Here is what we came up with that has ingredients we have on hand...
As well, spelt having a lower gluten content makes it a healthier grain to consume, we use our farm fresh butter and Himalayan salt. No strange non pronounceable ingredients like store crackers.
Before I continue let me say, you can roll these out two ways; a bit thicker and cook them for only 12 minutes and end up with a flat bread, or roll them out fairly thin and cook them at least 12 minutes and get more of the 'traditional cracker' that you're used to...
1 1/4 cups spelt flour
2T butter (or coconut oil)
1/2 t Himalayan or Celtic salt
flax seed
Enough water to make the mixture a cohesive ball. If it becomes too wet just add a bit more flour.
Put the Flour, butter and salt together in a kitchen mixer...once it is all mixed well, add flax seed then begin adding water. Once the mixture is in a ball, take it out.
Get a flat baking sheet and slightly flour it. Roll the dough onto it, cut out your cracker shapes. The kids insisted on using cookie cutters, I of course cut them out , and the edges to make s perfect square with the institutionally accepted square cracker shapes...I don't know why! LOL!
We also opted to sprinkle flax seed on top, along with additional salt.
Bake at 400 for at least 12 minutes. Remember, if you're going for a thin flat bread type, roll it out as you would a sugar cookie and cook for 12 minutes. If you're going for the 'cracker', roll out a bit thinner than you would a sugar cookie and 12 minutes should still be enough, up to 13 minutes . It really depends on your oven.
This is a really healthy cracker! Were going to play with it again tomorrow and see what we come up with. I loved the flat bread type while the kids liked the 'cracker'. I think they liked their shapes better too:) I think the recipe could easily be adapted to cinnamon and honey for a sweet cracker as well.(the picture taken before baking)
