Unto Jesus by Theodore Monod (1836-1912)

Unto Jesus and NOT the interests of our cause, of our party, of our church-still less at our personal interests. The single object of our life is the glory of God; if we do not make it the supreme goal of our efforts, we must deprive ourselves of His help, for His grace is only at the service of His glory. If, on the contrary, it is His glory that we seek above all, we can always count on His grace.

Congratulations to our daughter in law!!!

Jill you're amazing!!! Our daughter in law ran a TRIATHALON this weekend! It was a 500m swim, a 15+ mile bike ride and 3+ mile run!!! Ugg! She had never even done a triathlon before and won 3rd place! She was only 12 seconds behind 2nd place! We are so proud of you for accomplishing your goal! And you got an 'insanity' shirt all in the same week! Amazing! For those of you who don't know, 'insanity' is an insane work out program that is for the toughest of the tough. This work out is so intense that I personally think it is unhealthy:) But then again what do I know? I prefer a sedentary lifestyle:)

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

ITS ALL ETERNAL

That is a phrase that I 'coined'. Isn't it true? "It's all eternal". Your spouse, your children, your grandchildren. They are all eternal! What we do today, and the choices we make are all eternal as well. Can you think of one thing that is not eternal? This world and the things of it may be passing away but all of our experiences and actions in this world have eternal consequences. So when it comes to the good, or the bad~keep in mind that 'It's all eternal'. In view of that may we make better choices today than we did yesterday, and may we strive for more holiness today than we did yesterday; looking ahead to a more God honouring tomorrow.

A word from A.W.Pink

Examine yourself, and your knowledge of divine things. You may not know the very day of your regeneration, nor how it was brought about, but the evidences of it are apparent. Which do you really love the more; the pleasures of sin or the beauty of holiness? Which do you genuinely value most: God or the creature? Which are you actually serving; self or Christ?...Has the blessed Spirit made Christ real and precious to you? If so, there has been a radical change in your heart and life. When Christ was revealed to Paul, he had a contempt for all things else, ardent desires after Him, supreme delight in Him, and was willing to suffer the loss of all things for His sake (Phil 3:8-9). A saving knowledge of Christ gives us to prove the sufficiency of His grace, sustaining the soul amid trials (2 Cor. 12:9) AW Pink
We pray that you are blessed in the Hope of your salvation today~ Brett & Dana

Rain, rain go away....

Great picture Charity!

Wow!
It is amazing to me that there are parts of the country that are DRY! A friend in LA. says its dry, a friend in N.M. says they can't even have a fire in their own backyard due to fire hazard, and TX, another friend assures me~is scorched! Well I know why! All of the country's rain has been here in MO! Check out our 'little creek'!
